What is Bhakarwadi?

Bhakarwadi is a popular snack from Maharashtra and Gujarat. These crispy rolls are packed with a mix of sweet, spicy, and tangy fillings, made from ingredients like coconut, sesame seeds, and spices. Wrapped in a dough of gram flour and all-purpose flour, these pinwheels are deep-fried to perfection.

With its origins dating back to the time when Gujarat and Maharashtra were one, Bhakharwadi has since become a beloved snack for many. Thanks to pioneers like Chitale in Pune and Jagdish Farsan in Vadodara, it has grown into a household name. You’ll find Bhakarwadi at festivals, family get-togethers, or just as a tasty tea-time snack.
